AN EXCEPTIONAL COLLECTION OF PETRUS, MARGAUX AND CHEVAL BLANC
Offered in original wooden cases, in excellent condition. All wines were bought upon release by the current owner's father, who is very close to these chateau's, and stored ever since in professional temperature controlled storage. A unique chance to acquire pristine multiple cases of Petrus, Margaux and Cheval Blanc.
Château Margaux 1995

Tasting note: First note in April 1997, seven months before it was due to be bottled. Tasted alongside the ’96, there was a tremendous difference in style, the ’95 seeming to have more of the elusive, indefinable vinosity; complete with gloriously mouthfilling young fruit, well integrated tannins and perfect balance. Again at the chateau, a year after it had been bottled; nose ripe, harmonious; good extract and fruit. At the M.W. tasting in 1999, losing some of its pristine depth of colour; sweet distinctive Margaux fragrance; lovely flavour and length. Next at Manfred Wagner’s vertical in November 2000; bouquet fully developed; a touch of citrus fruit and dry finish. Most recently: fairly deep but mature appearance; very fragrant, very pleasant fruit; dry, lean for Margaux but crisp and lovely, good length, good future. Last tasted Oct 2005 ***(**) 2008 – 2025.
