A pair of famille rose armorial octagonal dishes
painted and gilt with officials and ladies in fenced gardens of rockwork and plantain within borders of scattered flowers -- 8¾in. (22cm) wide, circa 1765.
The Arms are of Garfoote of Hyde in Essex and Farnham in Suffolk. The same arms were used by the Gateford family of Shropshire.
