Alternative motif drawing for Clown from ‘Inside Stories’, the inaugural exhibition at House of Illustration celebrating the work of Quentin Blake. This landmark show brought together many of the best-loved characters brought to life by Quentin Blake, from his own work, such as Clown, to illustrations for Roald Dahl, David Walliams and Jonathan Yeoman. Founded by Quentin Blake, House of Illustration opened in July 2014 with ‘Inside Stories’: it is the UK’s only public gallery dedicated solely to illustration and graphic art.
