A CARVED JASPER SNUFF BOTTLE
1780-1880
The bottle is carved on one side through an opaque white layer with a seated boy holding a box backed by layers of white and yellow color, above him are three bats carved on a cloud-like white ground. The reverse has a russet and orange moss-like pattern.
2 ½ in. (6.3 cm.) high, glass stopper
