A GOLD SNUFF BOTTLE
1820-1900
Each side is decorated in high relief with a four-clawed dragon pursuing a flaming pearl against a ground of swirling waves, and the narrow sides are decorated with a band of petals. An impressed three-character mark, with the first character rubbed, possibly reading Tai Ke, is stamped on the outside of the foot, and the base is incised with an apocryphal Qianlong mark.
2 in. (5 cm.) high, matching metal stopper
