A CARVED RUSSET AND WHITE JADE PEBBLE-FORM SNUFF BOTTLE

One side is carved through the russet skin with a web of lingzhi fungus and a single bat, the reverse with a crab clutching a stalk of millet.
2 5/8 in. (6.6 cm.) high, jadeite stopper

The imagery depicted on this bottle of a bat and lingzhi convey a wish for blessings. It would have been an appropriate gift for a number of occasions including a birthday or marriage.
