A PAIR OF LARGE IRON-RED AND BLUE AND WHITE OVOID VASES AND COVERS
QIANLONG-JIAQING PERIOD (1736-1820)
Each vase is finely decorated around the body in vivid underglaze blue and bright iron-red enamels with a writhing five-clawed dragon chasing a flaming pearl amongst clouds, above crashing waves encircling the foot. The covers are decorated with bats and clouds.
