Compare to another Cizhou foliate-rimmed jar of slightly larger size (9.7 cm high) and similar shape but with eight pairs of vertical ribs on the sides, illustrated by Robert Mowry in Hare’s Fur, Tortoiseshell, and Partridge Feathers- Chinese Brown-And Black-Glazed Ceramics, 400-1400, Harvard University Art Museums, 1996, p. 173, no. 60.
