A SMALL FAMILLE ROSE INCENSE HOLDER
QIANLONG SIX-CHARACTER MARK IN IRON-RED AND OF THE PERIOD (1736-1795)
The square-section vessel is decorated to the cover with flower sprays surrounding a central pierced opening, the sides are enamelled with prunus and lingzhi and nandina berries and narcissus, separated by a poetic inscription contacting an excerpt from the Tang poem 'Feng He Lu Wang Xin Xia Dong Jiao Xian Fan' by Pi Rixiu (834/839-902) and three seals in iron red. The interior and base are glazed turquoise.
