AFTER A DESIGN BY SHERATON, SECOND HALF 19TH CENTURY
The shaped top crossbanded in amboyna and painted with swags of summer flowers within a wide border of ribbon-wrapped oak branches, the conforming fluted frieze centred by a grisaille panel and with further sunflower tablets, on tapering turned and fluted legs wrapped with acanthus and drapery swags, the upswept stretchers joined by an oval boss with flame finial, the base repositioned and the side friezes extended by approximately 1 inch, the back rail replaced
33 ½ in. (85 cm.) high; 57 in. (145 cm.) wide; 22 ¼ in. (26 cm.) deep
