Lot Essay

An extremely attractive modern 18k gold Daytona, the present watch is highly sought after by collectors. In fact, one of the most well known collectors and musicians of our time owned this exact model. This reference with the same configuration as shown here was once bought and owned by Eric Clapton, purchased by the famous star at "George Pragnell", the Rolex retailer in Stratford Upon Avon, England, on February 5, 2003. The watch was sold at Christie's' "Lesson One" Daytona sale in Geneva, 2013, for a total of $100,000 Swiss Francs.
