Wang Yingchun was born in Taiyuan, Shanxi province and graduated from the Xi’an Fine Art Academy in 1966. She works in oil, traditional ink, and engraving. She is best known for her figure paintings. Since 1980, she has worked as a researcher at the Research Institute for Chinese Traditional Painting in Beijing.
