possibly Maharaja Bhim Singh, gouache heightened with gold on paper, the couple sit among cushions in a marble courtyard, as he caresses her chin, red and black borders - 11¼ x 8½in. (28.5 x 21.6cm.); and the month of Magha, the dark-skinned Krishna sits on a terrace in a palace by a lake with attendants and musicians, vases of mango blossoms are placed before them, ladies sit on a balcony above, wide red border - 11¼ x 7½in.
