The crest on the inkstand is that of Viscount Seaham, probably for George Henry Robert Charles William Vane-Tempest, later 5th Marquess of Londonderry KP (1821–1884), styled Viscount Seaham until 1854.
The crest on the gold case is that of Marquess of Londonderry possibly for Charles Stewart Henry Vane-Tempest-Stewart, 7th Marquess of Londonderry K.G. (1878–1949).
