Lot Essay

The present watch can be considered amongst the most desirable Constellation Omega with original specially produced signed dial for a Middle Eastern rulers. It features the signature of Jassim Mohamed Al-Bahar, an important Kuwaiti figure, who presumably ordered this personalized watch to be presented as a gesture of gratitude. The present watch was delivered to Barhain, at the time the distributor to Koweit at the time.

Launched in 1952, the iconic "Constellation" model and its variations in regard to case and dial layout has become a highly coveted collector's watch. It is extensively described and illustrated in Omega - A Journey Through Time by Marco Richon, Chapter 8, pp. 359 - 400.
