Né en 1966 à Kiryat Gat (Israël) Adi Nes vit et travaille à Tel Aviv. Il est notamment représenté par Jack Shainman Gallery à New York et la Galerie Praz Delavallade à Paris. Ses œuvres ont intégré d’importantes collections françaises et internationales, dont le Fonds National d’Art Contemporain (Paris) ou bien le Jewish Museum of Art (New York). En 2003, il a été gratifié du Leon Constantiner Prize for Photography. A travers une composition lumineuse et une mise en scène presque cinématographique, Adi Nes questionne, dans cette série ‘The Soldiers’, la sexualité, la masculinité et l'identité dans la culture israélienne.
