Compare the closely related dish of this size and form, also with a qilin depicted in a seated pose, which was included in an exhibition organized by the Oriental Ceramic Society, The World in Blue and White, London, Bath and Glasgow, June - November 2003, catalogue no. 22, p. 14. Another dish, also with the qilin seated, and bearing a hall mark yu tang jia qi ('fine vessel for the jade hall') was sold at Christie's, South Kensington, 29 February 2012, lot 757.
