A finely engineered early 19th Century single inverted cylinder table engine, with brass cylinder 2¼in. bore x 3in. stroke, cylinder head lubricator, centrally mounted valve chest, studded stuffing box and round bar type crosshead guides, all supported on four turned tapered columns, the crankshaft mounted in two main bearings with square headed nuts, cast spoked flywheel with rope groove, the whole mounted on a cast iron architectural base with four arches, finished in green and polished brightwork -- 23 3/8 x 12in.
