A RARE FAHUA JAR, GUAN
MING DYNASTY (1368-1644)
The robustly potted vessel is decorated in relief with The Eight Immortals separated by monster masks and beaded roundels suspending various auspicious emblems, all below geese and florets on the shoulder and above a band of stylized lotus lappets above the foot. The relief decoration is reserved on a mottled dark blue ground.
14 ½ in. (36.8 cm.) diam.
