Lot Essay

The present ref. 16520 is a well preserved example of the first automatic Cosmograph Daytona featuring the caliber 4030 based on the Zenith El Primero movement, still retaining the protective green sticker to the case back.

Adding to the collectible appeal of this chronograph is the much sought after white "inverted six" dial. Appearing on dials of the reference 16520 as late as 1995, the chronograph hour register features an inverted "6" reading as a "9".
