Lot Essay

In production since 2006, reference 5711 is a celebration of the first Nautilus model, reference 3700, to which it is practically identical on an aesthetical level, the only difference being a 1 mm. wider case. Technically, however, it is quite different: reference 5711 presents a display screw back. This was introduced to facilitate access to the movement, and also to allow the beholder to admire the intricacy of the gears. Originally launched in steel, versions in the three gold colours were released to celebrate the Nautilus 30th anniversary in 2007.

The stainless steel version was originally launched with the typical slate-grey dial found on most stainless steel nautilus watches. Later, however, a white dial version was released as well.

Not only is the reference 5711 in steel one of the most popular sports watches today, it furthermore features the extremely sought after Tiffany signature on the dial and is untouched and kept in the original bag, single sealed and complete with accessories. Truly a gem for the connoisseur of rare timepieces who can understand its importance, collectability and future potential.

To the best of our knowledge, the present example has never been offered in public before.
