The cover and base with a sunburst ground, the cover centred with an oval glazed mother-of-pearl lozenge push-piece enamelled with the badge of The Prince of Wales within the Garter motto and with the Prince of Wales' crown above, gilt interior, marked inside on base and cover

Either The Prince of Wales, later King Edward VII (1848-1910) or The Prince of Wales, later King George V (1865-1936) and by descent to H.R.H. The Prince Henry, Duke of Gloucester (1900-1974).
