The white mother of pearl sticks pique in silver and gilt, the silk leaf inset with Brussels bobbin lace balustrades, trees and a pagoda, in which a shepherdess awaits her lover, signed DONZEL, in Friedrich Blos of Karlsruhe paper box.

Provenance
Possibly H.M. Queen Mary and either by gift or descent to H.R.H. The Duchess of Gloucester, later Princess Alice (1901-2004).
Previously loaned to the Victoria and Albert Museum.
