the hood with pagoda top surmounted by brass ball and spire finials, fluted brass-capped columns, glazed panels to the sides, arched door to the trunk, on plinth with bracket feet, the brass dial with ringed winding holes to the matted centre with date aperture and seconds ring, foliate and female mask spandrels, within engraved hatched border, signed on the chapter ring W.m Barrow London, with plaque to the arch within dolphin spandrels inscribed W.m Hannah Thistlethwite 1719, the four pillar rack striking movement with anchor escapement -- 96½in. (245cm.) high
