An English majolica jug
probably George Jones, of tapering form, moulded with ears of corn among leaves below a stiff leaf band between rope-twist rims, enriched in colours on a lilac ground, the interior in pale blue, indistinct numerals 1806 -- 18.4cm. high, circa 1870 (minor flaking)
