painted with a dress maker and a lady in a garden, within a shaped panel gilt with raised foliage, the reverse painted with a river in landscape, on a dark-blue ground, the bell shaped cover gilt with musical instruments and foliage, the foot with similar decoration, the rim applied with a gilt metal rim pierced with flowerheads and foliage, the handles formed as winged females above leaves, supported by a footed base applied with leaves, signed, imitation Sèvres mark -- 69cm. high, late 19th/20th century (slight wear, metal finial detached) See illustration
