A Meissen model of a cockatoo
after an model by J. J. Kändler, perched on a tree stump, moulded and incised with plumage, sparsely coloured and gilt, the feathers at the back of it's head enriched in apricot, the beak in shades of tan, the claws grey, the stump moulded with leaves and flowers, blue crossed swords mark, Pressnummer 126, incised 8771 -- 36cm. high, late 19th century (one talon with breaks and related chips, re-stuck, some minor firing faults)
