A VERY RARE HUANGHUALI WAISTLESS FLUSH CORNER-LEG RECTANGULAR STOOL, CHANGFANGDENG

QING DYNASTY, 18TH-19TH CENTURY
Of ‘four-corners flush’ form, the soft mat seat is set within a thick rectangular frame above a curvilinear, beaded apron carved at the centre with a lotus flower. The whole is supported on shaped, beaded legs of square section ending in hoof feet.
