Lot Essay

The present timepiece is a fine example of the automatic Cosmograph Daytona ref. 16523, showing the “inverted 6” on the hour counter subsidiary dial, a feature found in the early series watches of the model until around 1994/1995.

Furthermore, it is fitted with the understated stainless steel and gold (called yellow Rolesor by Rolex) case. While adding weight and importance to the watch, this choice of materials grants it an extremely elegant look.
