Lot Essay

The present Aquanaut is preserved in excellent overall condition, fresh to the market and offered with its original certificate and box.

Reference 5065
A very coveted timepiece, the Aquanaut reference 5065 was launched in 1997 and produced until 2006. With an attractive “Tropical” strap, it was Patek Philippe’s first reference with a bracelet made of high-tech composite. With a pattern matching the dial, the model quickly captivated collectors of the manufacture through its elegant design and became one of the firm’s most popular models.

An example of the reference 5065 is illustrated in Patek Philippe Steel Watches by John Goldberger, 2010 edition, pp. 414-415.
