Lot Essay

This endangered species strap is shown for display purposes only and is not for sale. The watch will be supplied with a calf leather strap.

This 1960s chronograph wristwatch is distinguished by the so-called “inverse Panda” dial and its generally very good overall condition.

Its Zodiac 83 movement is based on the celebrated Valjoux calibre 723.

The history of the firm can be traced back to 1882 when Ariste Calame founded a workshop for production of special watches in Le Locle, Switzerland. Today the company is located in the watchmaking city of Bienne.
