Believed Vasconcelos family. Rebottled in 2016. Damaged wax capsules with A seal. Long bottles with stained parchment labels. Levels: into-neck
Tasting note: Intense high toned nose with creme brulee and floral aromas. Nicely opening up after some time in the glass. Straw. At first smell the wine appeared a bit tired. Ethereal. Focused start of taste, fine, butter scotch but dry aromas in the mouth. Nice Canteiro aged acidity on the finish. Very nice Sercial. Classic, a bit rustic with a long lingering taste. Striking butterscotch flavour. After half an hour, a more inviting nose of firestone, salty even, remanining high toned. Smokey tones. Fresh acidity. Gets better with time in the glass. June 2016.
