A MARBLE-INSET MOTHER-OF-PEARL-INLAID HONGMU BARREL-FORM STOOL, GUDUN
18TH-19TH CENTURY
The variegated red marble top is set in a circular frame above shaped aprons and four outward-curved legs framing conjoined scrollwork, and raised on short bracket feet. The top and sides are finely inlaid in mother-of-pearl with scrolling floral vines and round bosses around the top frame.
20 ½ in. (57.1 cm.) high, 19 ¼ in. (48.9 cm.) diam.
