A FINELY CARVED WHITE JADE 'DRAGON' PLAQUE
MING DYNASTY (1368-1644)
The oval plaque is deeply carved with a central five-clawed dragon incised with scales and with its body coiled and grasping a flaming pearl in one claw, set against an openwork ground of blossoming lotus branches. The stone is of pale greenish-white tone.
4 ¼ in. (11 cm.) wide
