A JADEITE ‘PHOENIX AND BAMBOO’ SNUFF BOTTLE
PROBABLY IMPERIAL, ATTRIBUTABLE TO THE PALACE WORKSHOPS, QING DYNASTY, 1770-1840
The bottle is carved with a phoenix perched beside a bamboo stem, and a lingzhi stemming from the bottom. The stone ranges from emerald-green to icy greenish-white tones. Together with a jadeite snuff dish.
Bottle: 2 1/8 in. (5.4 cm.) high, jadeite stopper; Dish: 1 5/8 in. (4.2 cm.) long (2)
