Each engraving with a portrait of a saint or martyr, identified in Latin and Arabic scripts as Christ Salvator Mundi (Salbatur), saint Thomas, saint Andreas (Andris), saint Petrus (Tadeus), saint Matthaeus (Matius), saint Philippus (Filipus), saint Matthias (Matit), Saint Joannes (Juwash), saint Iacobus Minor (Jakub), each with added watercolour highlights, individually laid down on card, with gilt and polychrome illuminated margins with floral scrolls and palmette, identification cartouche at top
