A LARGE MING-STYLE BLUE AND WHITE HEXAGONAL VASE
19TH CENTURY
The vase is painted in deep cobalt blue tones on each panel with floral sprays alternating with fruiting boughs, including pomegranate, peach, peony and chrysanthemum, between ruyi-lappet borders at the shoulder and base. The facetted flared neck rises from horizonal ribs decorated with key-fret and floral sprays entwined with scrolling stems.
