A PALE GREENISH-YELLOW JADE CARVING OF A TIGER
SHANG DYNASTY, C. 1600-1046 BC
The jade is carved in the round as a recumbent tiger with its tail curled to the left and its legs tucked under the body. There is a circular aperture pierced in increasing diametre from the rear through the body.
