Standing Horse

Ling Li, born in a Chinese literati family in Hangzhou, graduated from the University of Minnesota in the 1930s. He returned to China after graduation and moved to Taiwan in 1945. In 1951, he joined the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations in Rome. A noted and published poet, Ling frequently travelled to Taiwan and remains in close contact with the literary circles.
