Notably rare and desirable original sepia tone 8"x10" image picturing Ruth and Gehrig posed seated aside the batting cages by highly lauded Cleveland photograher Louis Van Oeyen. Few minor areas of edge wear noted for accuracy only, with Van Oeyen photography stamp on the verso.
The image has been signed by Ruth in black fountain pen presenting precisely as it was signed rating 10 out of 10. Gehrig has signed the photo under his image in blue fountain pen, "To my little pal Mickey, Most Sincerely Lou Gehrig". The salutation has a few areas of fading/original lightness to the ink ranging from 3 to 5 out of 10. The Gehrig signature rates 6/7 out of 10.
