Unique Babe Ruth Autographed "A Ball Player, Not a Girl" Letter (PSA/DNA 9 MT)
Original one page typewritten fan letter as sent to Ruth from an autograph seeker, interestingly, from England. The content of the letter is fairly mundane in asking that the Babe send back an autograph to add to his collection. There was, however, one undoubtedly unintended error to the request that ended with a unique and now desirable result, in that it was addressed to the Bambino as "Dear Madam". Although probably due simply to the period version of a cut and paste error it enticed the Babe to comically reply under his autograph, "A Ball Player not a girl". Black fountain pen signature and inscription remain incredibly bold rating 9 out of 10. Letter itself has original light fold lines. Includes full LOAs from PSA/DNA (9 MT) and JSA: Letter: EX, Signature: NM/MT-MT
