Lot Essay

The 306 mould was created for the visit of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth to Paris in 1938. A pair of dolls named France and Marianne were produced in this mould but in a much larger size. They were sent from the Children of France to the then Princesses Elizabeth and Margaret Rose, complete with extensive wardrobe by major Paris houses
