PAUL HUET, VIEW OF THE GROS-HORLOGE IN ROUEN, GRAPHITE

Many 19th Century artists painted or drew this view of the Gros Horloge in Rouen, including the Englishmen William Parrot (1813-1869), by whom an oil sketch is kept at the Musée des Beaux-Arts de Rouen (inv. 2005.12.1.; 2575), and Samuel Prout (1783-1852), by whom a watercolour was sold at the sale Bonhams, London, 12 June 2003, lot 642.

De nombreux artistes du XIXe siècle ont peint ou dessiné cette vue du Gros Horloge à Rouen, dont le peintre anglais William Parrot (1813-1869), l'huile sur papier est conservée au musée des beaux-arts de Rouen (inv. 2005.12.1. ; inv. 2575) ou encore Samuel Prout (1783-1852) avec une aquarelle passée en vente chez Bonhams à Londres le 12 juin 2003, lot 642.
