"Château La Fleur-Pétrus was named for its location between ‘Petrus’ and ‘La Fleur’. Owned by Jean-Pierre Moueix since 1950, it is now one of the most renowned vineyards of Pomerol. The vineyard is Merlot dominated (91% Merlot, 6% Cabernet Franc and 3% Petit Verdot). Under Christian Moueix’s direction in the last few decades, the wine quality has been improving continuously. Château La Fleur-Pétrus may not be as full bodied as other wines in Moueix’s stable such as Trotanoy, but it’s elegant, silky in texture and can be enjoyed earlier." - Michelle Chan
