Median folio (319 x 209mm). 348 leaves, gathering r bound out of place. Large elaborate initial R on gold ground, with partial floral border and wreathed armorial, smaller red and blue initials and paragraph marks (some pigment loss to initial, some dampstaining, some leaves toned or soiled, occasional spots and wormholes). 18th-century gilt-ruled sheep, red speckled edges (some staining and losses). Provenance: armorial on first text leaf deleted by former owner – acquired from H.P. Kraus, New York, 2 November 1955.
