A PAIR OF MOTTLED PALE AND APPLE-GREEN JADEITE MODELS OF CRANES
QING DYNASTY, 19TH CENTURY
Each bird is carved standing on a gnarled lingzhi branch, with one leg raised, clasping a lingzhi sprig in its mouth. The feathers are incised in fine detail on the bodies and the crests are inset with coral. The stones are of a mottled pale green and apple-green tone, with some areas of brownish inclusions.
