A PAIR OF LARGE JADEITE QUATREFOIL-FORM OPENWORK 'CHILONG AND PRUNUS' WASHERS
QING DYNASTY, 19TH CENTURY
Each washer is raised on four feet, carved to the interior with a sinous chilong in high relief. The sides are carved with elaborate flowering prunus branches, which spill over the rims, forming an intricately-worked network. The stones are of a pale greyish-green tone with attractive areas of bright apple-green and russet inclusions.
