A MARBLE-INSET HONGMU CHAIR
19TH CENTURY
The splat is in the form of a suspended chime set with a milky-white circular marble panel below interlocking scroll-form crestrail and above the variegated greyish-white marble seat set in a rectangular frame. The whole is raised on rounded, square-section legs joined by humpback stretchers.
