Breathtaking matted and framed 19"x45" rendering of the opening game played for the rebel two year professional baseball league between the Chicago and Kansas City clubs. The game was played at Weeghman Park before a burgeoning crowd of over 24,000 fans. Weeghman Park would later be renamed Cubs Park after the Federal League folded and then finally changed to Wrigley Field in 1926. The matte finish image provides a sweeping vantage point taken from the left field corner and is marked by noted Chicago studio, "Kaufman, Weimer, & Fabry on Wabash St., Chi" at lower left. Condition presents as outstanding with some light surface spotting to the upper left background area and a few scattered small surface wrinkles mentioned for accuracy.
