Leather bound photographic album measuring 11"x14" as compiled by Frank W. Smith who was a noted photographer for the Cleveland Plain Dealer during the early part of the 20th century. Interior contains a number of original matte finish photograph with subjects including Cleveland Naps players and officials posed at spring training in Alexandria, Louisiana. Individual players posed, in uniform, with various equipment. Each image is signed by the respective player in fountain pen across the front and/or white margin. Subjects include: JT McGuire (manager), Joe Birmingham, Sam Kennedy, Doc White, Fred Blanding, Willie Mitchell, Vean Gregg, Fred Falkenberg, George Kaler, Earl Yingling, Gene Krapp, Spec Harkness, Hi West, Ben DeMott, Grover Land, Syd Smith, Ted Easterly, Jack Adams, Jack Graney, Ivy Olsen, George Stovall, Dave Callahan, Cottom Knaupp, Herman Bronkie, Art Griggs, Gus Fisher, Ed Hohnhorst, and Walt Doan. Player photos all measure 8"x10" and have been affixed to the scrapbook at the corners on back which are easily removable if desired. There are three additional photos picturing and signed by Cleveland team officials in the front of the book. The album originated from the Smith family along with the New York Giants and Joe Jackson signed photographs within this catalogue.
